The World Uyghur Christian Union (WUCU) is dedicated to fulfilling the Great Commission by sharing the Gospel with Uyghur and other Turkic-speaking peoples through various ministries. These include one-on-one evangelism, developing and distributing literature, networking with Christian organizations and individuals, establishing and supporting local Bible study groups, fellowships, and churches, organizing conferences, assisting refugees, and equipping the broader Christian community to reach out to Muslims with the message of the Gospel.
Go into all the world and preach the good news to every creature (Mark 16:15). In Him, Christ, there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian (Central Asian), bondman, freeman; but Christ is all, and in all (Colossians 3:11).”
We believe in one God, Creator and Lord of the universe, eternally existent as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three Persons in one God.
"The Trinity" is a fundamental element of Christian belief. Christians believe that there is only one God who exists in three distinct Persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. It is important to state clearly that Christianity is strictly monotheistic and does not believe in "three separate gods." Regardless of our level of understanding, a Christian who accepts the authority of the Bible (including the Tawrat, Zabur, and Injil) recognizes that there are three Persons united in one God.
God is great: He is all powerful, all knowing, ever present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust and above all Holy. It is in Him that we live, move and exist. God is good. He is our Father. He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.
We affirm our faith in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, the Word made flesh, fully God and fully human, and the promised Messiah. He was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross to atone for our sins, and rose from the dead on the third day. He has ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God, having accomplished everything necessary for our salvation. We believe that Jesus is the only mediator between God and humanity.
*However, it's important to note that the term "Son of God" does not mean that God had a literal son in the way that human beings have children. It is a metaphorical term that is used to describe Jesus' divine nature and his special relationship with God the Father. We also believe that Mary’s pregnancy was strictly a miracle of God, which did not involve any physical act
We believe in the eternal Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, promised by the Father and the Son. He glorifies Jesus Christ, and continues his works and empowers believers to live a godly life.
We believe God created humans “in His image, in His likeness” (Genesis 1:26) not in the sense of physical likeness, but in the sense of moral and spiritual likeness, so that each human being can know Him and have fellowship with Him. Though people are fallen, the “image of God” in them is restored by the regeneration of the Holy Spirit, which is salvation (John 3:16).
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16).”
“Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground (Genesis 1:26).”
We believe that the Bible is God’s inspired word, infallible (without error) and authoritative in all its teachings. It is our complete Statement of Faith, expressing God’s will in matters of faith and conduct and given to the Christians for guidance and edification.
We believe in the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. His command is:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you (Matthew 28:19-20).”
We believe that all human beings have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. It is essential for each human to repent from sin and receive by faith the finished work of Christ by confessing Him as Lord with one’s mouth and believing in one’s heart, resulting in regeneration by the Holy Spirit. Salvation cannot be earned through our own efforts.
We believe the true Church is formed of every born-again person washed by the Blood of the Lamb, regardless of their race, culture, religious background, denominational affiliation or age. It is committed to following the teachings of Christ and obeying all His commands, growing in love for God and one another (John 13:34-35) as one body, and every person who confesses Jesus as Lord.
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another (John 13:34-35).”
We believe in the literal second coming of Jesus Christ and that those who have believed will be resurrected to a heavenly dwelling in an incorruptible body, and those who do not believe will join Satan and his host in everlasting punishment.
